I woke up this morning and I was cold! Compared to last Wednesday it is freezing. Last Wednesday at the zoo was the hottest day I can remember. The zoo was fun though. The ice cream cones melted…very fast. Today is pretty chilly. I don’t know why I am drinking a ‘creamsicle’ on ice. They are quite delicious- Orange Juice, Cream, and a splash of Vanilla – Yummo!
Saturday we went to The Village Theatre and saw Showboat. I got shivers when ‘Joe’ sang Old Man River. It was wonderful. And for days I was singing ” …fish gonna swim, birds gonna fly…can’t help lovin’ that man of mine…” . I love going to the plays. Meet Me In St. Louis is coming up next season at The Village and White Christmas is going to be at The 5th Avenue this winter. I kinda doubt I’ll get to see them but they sound fun.
I’m trying to learn French… it’s not coming so well. I’ve wanted to learn for so long and I’m finally setting down to it. We’ll see how it goes. I’m sure it’ll take quite some time.
My sisters’ birthday was July 29th and I really wanted to bake her a birthday cake. It was too hot to turn the ovens on and I never did it. Now I really want to bake one…and decorate one. I don’t want to have to eat the whole thing myself though. Oh dear… such a dilemma.
